[Projects] People and Design

A group project in a design module in Design Ethnography.

This group project encouraged us to address the relationship between people, designers and society. It culminated in an intensive two weeks period in which we had to envision and define a community of the future based on our research.

Using a variety of design methods such as brainstorming, visualisation, personas, and storytelling, we were able to present our findings, and illustrate our vision of how society might be shaped by drivers such as health, environment, education and technology.

The module was introduced through a series of fascinating lectures and workshops, where we were visited by Terry Irwin, Alan Munro, Colin Burns and Phillip Joe. It was the methods and knowledge gained in these sessions that enabled us to work as a team and communicate effectively.
